Karen de Luna / Dirección

Bailarina, coreógrafa y docente. Artista y educadora ambiental interesada en el cuerpo, el movimiento y la naturaleza. Estudió la Maestría en Educación Ambiental en la Universidad de Guadalajara y la licenciatura en Diseño integral en la Universidad Iteso. Funda el colectivo Proyecto al Margen en el 2010 y el programa de entrenamiento TALLERES al MARGEN en 2013. Desde el 2011 es miembro de la Asociación Civil del Centro de Cultura Ambiental e Investigación Educativa (CCAIE).

Egresada de la Escuela Profesional de Danza de Mazatán (EPDM) y del 2004 al 2010 formó parte de la compañía Delfos danza contemporánea.

Creadora, colaboradora y/o intérprete de las obras: Ejercicios para Cerrar Asuntos / Intento 1: Hemostasis-Bleeding, Tiempos Inertes, Somos con quien Estamos, Olvidar las Palabras, Fuga, What We May Be, Fûdosei, Movimiento Graffiti, Límite——–Horizonte, Puertas y Please Light Me (3888 Horas de Pandemia). Ha presentado su trabajo en Estados Unidos, Hong Kong, España e importantes festivales dentro del país. 

En 2014 realiza residencia con Laura Aris, en The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts y a mediados del 2017 es invitada al laboratorio TANZ+MUSIK organizado por el Goethe Institut Mexiko como parte de las actividades de año dual México-Alemania. Desde el 2016 crea e imparte el taller-laboratorio de movimiento Cuerpo Presente junto con el músico Diego Martínez Lanz en diversas instituciones, festivales y espacios independientes en México y el extranjero (EU, Hong Kong, España). En 2014 es invitada diseñar e impartir la clase-audición del 2do elenco del Centro de Producción de Danza Contemporánea (CEPRODAC).

En los últimos años ha realizado diversos talleres y laboratorios en encuentros y festivales como el laboratorio ILEGAL realizado dentro del marco del Festival 4×4 en Chiapas México, el laboratorio La Palabra Acción impartido en Guadalajara México, el Encuentro de Cuerpos realizado en Barcelona, España junto a Shantí Vera y Francisco Córdova (2017) y el Festival Internacional ATLAS (2019) en Guanajuato.

Ha recibido los apoyos de PECDA Jalisco en el programa de Desarrollo Individual, (2005-2006) y Jóvenes Creadores (2008-2009), Creadores Escénicos FONCA 2013 y 2016 y los apoyos de Cultura Jalisco a través de los programas Proyecta Producciones 2015 y 2018, Proyecta Traslados 2012 y 2017 y Proyecta Industrias Creativas 2019. Desde hace 4 años realiza la dirección artística del Festival Bosque La Primavera, enfocado en la defensa de espacios, culturas y territorios amenazados, pero principalmente en la educación y sensibilización en torno al Bosque La Primavera.

Actualmente radica en Guadalajara donde continúa desarrollando diversos proyectos creativos en colaboración con otros artistas y organizaciones y desde el 2016 ha impartido las asignaturas: Artes Escénicas y Artes Expandidas en la Licenciatura de Comunicación y Artes Audiovisuales del ITESO.

Dancer, choreographer and teacher. Environmental artist and educator interested in the body, movement, and nature. She studied a Master in Environmental Education at the University of Guadalajara and a degree in Integral Design at Iteso University. He founded the Proyecto al Margen collective in 2010 and the TALLERES al MARGEN training program in 2013. Since 2011 she has been a member of the Civil Association of the Center for Environmental Culture and Educational Research (CCAIE).

Graduated from the Professional Dance School of Mazatán (EPDM) and from 2004 to 2010 she was part of the Delfos contemporary dance company. She has presented his work in the United States, Hong Kong, Spain, and important festivals within the country. In 2014 she made a residency with Laura Aris, at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and in mid-2017 she was invited to the TANZ + MUSIK laboratory organized by the Goethe Institut Mexiko as part of the Mexico-Germany dual-year activities.

Since 2016, she creates and teaches the body-present movement workshop-laboratory with the musician Diego Martínez Lanz in various institutions, festivals, and independent spaces in Mexico and abroad (EU, Hong Kong, Spain). In 2014, she was invited to design and teach the audition class of the 2nd cast of the Center for the Production of Contemporary Dance (CEPRODAC). In recent years, she has held various workshops and laboratories in meetings and festivals such as the ILEGAL laboratory carried out within the framework of the 4 × 4 Festival in Chiapas Mexico, the La Palabra Acción laboratory taught in Guadalajara Mexico, the Body Meeting held in Barcelona, ​​Spain along with Shantí Vera and Francisco Córdova (2017) and the ATLAS International Festival (2019) in Guanajuato.

She has received the support of PECDA Jalisco in the Individual Development program (2005-2006) and Young Creators (2008-2009), Scenic Creators FONCA 2013 and 2016, and the support of Culture Jalisco through the Proyecta Producciones 2015 and 2018 programs, Proyecta Traslados 2012 y 2017 and Proyecta Industrias Creativas 2019. For 4 years she has been the artistic director of the Bosque La Primavera Festival, focused on defending threatened spaces, cultures, and territories, but mainly on education and awareness of Bosque La Primavera.

She currently resides in Guadalajara where she continues to develop various creative projects in collaboration with other artists and organizations and since 2016 he has taught the subjects: Performing Arts in the Communication and Audiovisual Arts Degree from ITESO.
